APPLY FOR DUTY-FREE CONCESSION ON EQUIPMENT AND TOOLS

The program is open to registered cultural and creative practitioners and businesses, registered cultural and creative projects, registered retailers of raw materials directly used in the production of creative goods and services, and registered education and community organizations or programs focused on delivering training. To apply for the program, interested businesses and organizations must first register with the Grenada Office of Creative Affairs via their online application form. Registrants must select their core areas of service. Once registered and approved, an online account with a unique username and password will be provided via email with instructions on how to apply for concessions via their online account. A creative practitioner ID card/certificate will also be issued to all registrants.

WHO IS ELIGIBLE FOR CONCESSION

Refers to an individual or company that is involved in the business of the culture and creative industries; has a registered business name and is approved as a business by the Office of Creative Affairs.

A cultural or creative project refers to a cultural  or creative industries project undertaken by an approved cultural or creative practitioner, business or organization and is approved by the Office of Creative Affairs.

Retailers refers to third party entities involved with the sourcing and supplying of “tools of trade” for cultural and creative  practitioners, businesses and organization and is registered with the Office of Creative Affairs.

Registered educational or community organizations refer to schools, registered training programmes and community organizations involved in delivering training in the arts and creative industries.

Registration

Before applying for concessions, individuals, businesses, and organizations must register with the Grenada Office of Creative Affairs through our online application form. During registration, you will select your core areas of service, which will determine what type of items you can be granted duty-free concessions for. Once approved, you will receive an online account with a unique username and password via email, along with instructions on how to apply for concessions via your online account. You will also receive a creative practitioner ID card/certificate.

Please note that registration with the Office of Creative Affairs is only the first step of the duty-free application process and does not entitle you to concessions. It simply grants you the right to apply.

Apply for concession

Once registered, you can complete the online application form and upload a detailed list of items from your intended suppliers, along with quotes or pro-forma invoices. After submitting your application, you will receive an automatic email confirmation detailing the next steps.

Review of Application

Applications received will be reviewed and approved by the Office of Creative Affairs. Approved applications will be signed off by either the Minister of Economic Development and Planning or the Permanent Secretary of that ministry. This process should take no less than one week.

Processing and Issuance of Concession Letter

Once signed off, the approved application will be sent to the Ministry of Finance for processing and issuance of concession letter.
